MD’S SUMMARY – RALSPEEDS 18TH YEAR OF TRADING

We are at the end of another very successful year of trading – we have designed and manufactured new fully enclosed soft starters, wide ranging overloads, new economy units and have installed new software and pcs to cope with ever increasing customer database. We have recruited new staff in workshop and office and look forward to another demanding but challenging year ahead.

Many thanks to all our very loyal customers who come back to us month on month and welcome to all our new customers that we have acquired over the past year. You can be assured that we will continue to provide you with an outstanding product and service.

Hoist Away

Ralspeed have manufactured a stainless steel panel for a hoist application on-board ships. The customer wanted to hire out the panel so plug and sockets were fitted for easy installation. The unit was fitted with an Hitachi inverter and a braking resistor and set up for this exact application. The unit was fitted with a pendant so that the operator can be in any position to control the hoist. Lifting hooks were also fitted so the unit can be transported on and off the ship with ease. GRINDING FOR ANIMAL FEED

Ralspeed have manufactured a large soft start panel 132Kw with forward and reverse operation to a grinding machine to be used for animal feed. Although the forward and reverse could be achieved electronically with the Ralspeed soft start unit, the customer wanted to forward and reverse the grinder manually.

ONE SOFT STARTER FOR VARIOUS MOTOR SIZES

Ralspeed manufactured several soft start panels for Selwood pumps for their growing hire fleet. Although larger soft starters can be used on smaller motors the overload has to correct for each motor. Ralspeed designed and manufactured a wide ranging overload with a simple switch you can choose from 1.5Kw to 15Kw depending on your motor size and the overload is then set for this motor. The advantage for our customer is one panel that can be used on several pump sizes without any component change.
