Hitachi Programmable Logic Controllers

The Hitachi Micro-EH Series PLC offers performance in a cost effective compact package. The EH Micro Series meets the needs of small to medium scale control factory automation.
The compact size is ideal to help reduce panel sizing. High functionality is provided with a 3k step memory as standard; up to 256 timers and 511 counters; a two-phase high speed counter; interrupt input; high function type analogue timer and built-in analogue inputs and outputs as standard.
The EH Micro also has two built-in pots which can be configured for any task requiring a variable analogue reference. This combined with its compact size enables easy installation and maintenance.Direct PC connection and monitoring are other useful features. There are a number of compatible software programs available internationally, such as ActWin for Windows 95 and Windows NT.

The Hitachi EH-150 PLC is the smallest but vary capable PLC. The new EH-150 micro PLC offers the benefits of larger expandable rack units. At the heart of the system are two CPU options giving up to 8000 steps and 256 I/O. Despite its size, the EH-150 has high function ability with a modem port and an expansion unit allowing for 16 extra slots.
The EH-150 offers high-speed communication at 38,400bps, with a basic processing speed of 1microsecond or less and an application processing speed of several microseconds. Battery back up is available for the built-in RAM.
All components are CE approved to EMC and the Low Voltage Directive. Like all the other Hitachi PLCs from HID, the powerful MS Windows based Actwin software tools make programming simple.

Text Displays, Operator Panels and Touch Panels are now available from Hitachi. This new line of HMIs, branded EH-HMI, is customized for Hitachi's PLC and Frequency Inverter series. In addition, it includes drivers for other brands, such as Siemens' S5 and S7 and Groupe Schneider's PLCs.

Hitachi's EH-HMI series offers optimal support for the visualization and control of automated processes. High-resolution graphic displays, which are legible even in insufficiently illuminated environments, and dust- and splash-proof covers provide the units with the necessary robustness for an industrial environment.

Another clear advantage for the user: all 11 panels are programmed with one software, EH-VIEW.

EH-VIEW is a Windows-based application using a flexible, "WYSIWYG" editor (What you see is what you get). The user-friendly, interactive programming environment facilitates the addition of text, variables, graphics, touchcells and further elements.

EH-VIEW's sophisticated recipe capability supports the storing of recipes and downloading of project parameters. Recipe upload allows for "ideal" parameters to be captured and loaded directly from the PLC to the panel.

The integrated trending support delivers real-time analyses and data, which the user needs to manage the application optimally.

Fieldbus interfaces are available for Profibus-DP, Interbus, CANopen, DeviceNet and Ethernet. The panels are prepared for global use thanks to their user-guided language selection.
